Our Story: Cortado embarked on an exciting journey in 2015 when Jo Macdonald and Mark Yardley took over. Within a year, they initiated significant expansion and renovation projects, constantly challenging themselves to improve. Inspired by their love for South American cuisine with a Kiwi fusion twist, they created the distinctive Cortado experience.

In 2019, Kody North joined us as our General Manager, igniting a passion for learning and growth within our team. Together, we are dedicated to exceeding hospitality standards and delivering exceptional Kiwi hospitality.

Our kitchen team, driven by passion and creativity, continually strives to surprise and delight our guests. We source the freshest local ingredients and take pride in crafting most of our menu items from scratch, ensuring each dish reflects our care and attention to detail.
